Erst als erzählende Stimme in den Rillen einer einzigen Schallplatte gefangen, schafft sie nun den Sprung in die reale Welt und predigt in einer performativen One-Woman-Show von den goldenen Regeln des Erfolges! In einem surrealen Setting gibt sie als eine Art Motivationssprecherin ihre besten Powertipps & Tricks preis und erklärt wie man sowohl im Büro-Dschungel als auch abseits davon eine gute Figur macht. Doch an der Oberfläche bilden sich deutliche Risse ab; zwischen Arbeitsfetischismus und Schweißhänden, Fitness und Einsamkeit wird sie zum personifizierten Burn-out, der trotz der perfekten Planung des Lebens dem eigenen Druck nicht standhalten kann. Ein von Musik und vollem körperlichen Einsatz geprägtes Spektakel, das die Grenzen von Performance und Hörspiel sprengt und keine Gefangenen macht. Office Girl is a fictional character and constitutes the center of the story. Her name and origin are unknown; she is simply a young, business-oriented woman trying to make a career. She works at an office – her exact occupation there is unknown. As her story evolves we learn about her ambitions, how to get from the bottom to the top, absurd business strategies, dirty tricks, her fears, hopes and a bunch of other things. Meanwhile she continues to be a complex and controversial character and while she’s bold and pretentious she can also be deep and painfully honest. The experimental jingles and soundscapes composed around the story of Office Girl accompany the narration. The musical genres morph from meditative electronica and elevator music to dystopian march-segments and nightmarish samples.
