Topics such as: the image of women in France in the 19th century, dress codes, the concept of realism according to Courbet and comparisons to other depictions of Manet and Degas are the content of this work. Die Arbeit untersucht den Darstellungsbestand des Bildes 'Junge Frauen am Ufer der Seine' auf Hinweise, die möglicherweise auf Prostitution hindeuten könnten.
