<lom:langstring xml:lang="de">Der italienische Neorealismus nimmt eine zentrale Rolle als Einfluss auf die französischen neuen Wellen der 1960er Jahre ein. Das italienische Nachkriegskino schafft es mit dem Verzicht auf klassische Studios und mit Laienschauspielern, das hollywood-beeinflusste Kino der 1930er Jahre
zu hinterfragen. Eine wichtige Neuerung dabei ist eine freiere Erzähltechnik, die Leerstellen schafft
und damit dem Publikum Emotion und Handlungsverläufe weniger vorexerziert. Andre Bazin und
Gilles Deleuze attestieren der Strömung dadurch ein “Mehr” an Realismus. In dieser Arbeit wird nach einem kurzen Abriss der Filmgeschichte der ersten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts anhand von dem Film “Ladri di Biciclette” erläutert, woran diese These festzumachen ist und wie vor allem der
eben genannte Film prototypisch für die ​ Nouvelle Vague ​ gedacht werden kann.</lom:langstring>
