In traditional sense “perversion” is a type of sexual behavior that is considered abnormal and unacceptable. What I want to point out in this project is that this same meaning could (and should) be attached, rather to the behavior of the political figures in the West Balkan societies. If the perversion is considered to be distortion or corruption of the original meaning, or state of something there is no reason for it to be reserved strictly to the sexual type of behavior. The term Utopia has been a subject of manipulation by political structures in the last 30 years in the Balkans. It’s a term that’s used as a promise for decedes, and it somehow remains hope in people. The term „Perverted Utopia“ contradict itself and alludes to the disturbed reality of the present moment, while waiting for the utopia to come." "Dieses Projekt untersucht die Bedeutung des Begriffs „Perversion“ im politischen Kontext. Im traditionellen Sinne ist „Perversion“ eine Art von sexuellem Verhalten, das als abnormal und inakzeptabel gilt. Was ich in diesem Projekt hervorheben möchte, ist, dass dieselbe Bedeutung eher dem Verhalten der politischen Persönlichkeiten in den Gesellschaften des Westbalkans beigemessen werden könnte (und sollte).
