The Re-Restoration of the Painting "Flemish Landscape with a Robbery" form the Collection of the Alte Galerie at the Landesmuseum Joanneum The re-restoration of a Baroque oil painting on canvas provides information about an old technique of relining paintings using paste and glue, now no longer in use. The use of this technique was the decisive factor in the unusual damage to the panel: partial severe loss of bond to the paint layers in the area of the stretcher edges. Technological examinations and scientific analyses revealed the effects of the earliest restoration attempts on the picture's structure. The paste-and-glue relining technique is described in the context of the history of canvas painting conservation. A practical reconstruction of this method was undertaken with the aid of early documentation and comparative examples. Die Kleister-Leim Bügeldoublierung: Technologie - Problematik - Schäden. Entrestaurierung des Gemäldes "Flämische Landschaft mit Überfall" um 1650 aus der Alten Galerie, Steirisches Landesmuseum Joanneum Die Entrestaurierung eines barocken Leinwandgemäldes gibt Einblick in eine spezielle Anwendungstechnik der Kleister-Leim Doublierung. Diese ist ausschlaggebend für das ungewöhnliche Schadensbild des Gemäldes - ein partiell stark ausgeprägter Haftungsverlust der Bildschichten im Bereich der Spannrahmenleisten. Ziel der Arbeit ist die Festigung der Malschicht, die eine Abnahme der Doublierung erfordert. Nachfolgende konservatorische und restauratorische Maßnahmen umfassen Rissverklebungen am originalen Bildträger, Firnisreduzierung und die farbliche Integration der Fehlstellen. Eine Hinterspannung schützt die Gemälderückseite bei Klimaschwankungen.
