Our project deals with phenomenons of identification, isolation and retreat within modern working environments.
The scene is set in an 'open-plan' office situation, suggesting a place of social control, at the time of transition where the main characters (i.e. the employees) have not yet arrived or have already vacated the scene.
Their existence is shown merely by traces of discreet audio or visual evidence from pre-existing or future activities, dissolving almost unnoticeably into the still of the interior. The absence of the characters allows the viewer to be absorbed by props and infrastructure rather than by action, as the space is primary, and forms a perfectly calculated work environment. The viewer is invited to imagine actions and events.
