Ka Wai Cheung Ka Wai Cheung By perceiving the toxic landfill ecosystem as a chaotic agglomeration of matter (soil, water, and urban waste) and actant (human, non-human, and machine) vectors, the project seeks to confront the dirty reality of Pata Rat through dissecting and reconfiguring these existing logistical flows to generate an alternative ecosystem that thrives from urban waste. The curated network of conveyors and waste sorting infrastructures initializes a slow process of topographical disruption, transforming the slope overtime into a remediative wetland, whilst speculating opportunities for cohabitation between machines and species within the estranged landscape.
