This book is a compendium of projects designed by students of Fons Hickmann. These projects are accompanied by essays and statements of international observers describing the outer point of view including an interview with the professor to illustrate the inner view. Techniques and processes were developed, sources of inspiration were shown and references were defined in different contexts of graphic design. Following the creed "graphic design is the first interdisciplinary form of art" shows how intelligent design solutions originating from 2001 and 2007 were created. This book wants to pay an homage to the graphic design beyond boundaries, Vienna, Fons Hickmann and the possibilities of the University of applied Arts Vienna.
