There are two basic types: The adaptivebike, which fits to every commercial wheelchair and it´s usable outdoor as well as indoor. The second type is the recumbent bike, for sporty rides on the road. It´s only for outdoor activities. My concept combines the advantages of both types and comes with two different seat modes. The user can switch between the modes independently. Mode 1: An agile sports wheelchair (high mode) for indoors and comfortable driving in the city. Mode 2: A recumbent bike (low mode) for cross-country trips and long distances with better power efficiency and aerodynamics. Ein Handbike ist ein Fahrrad für Menschen mit keiner bzw. eingeschränkter Beinfunktion, das allein durch Arme und Hände gesteuert und angetrieben werden kann. Es gibt zwei Grundtypen: das Adaptivbike, das an fast jeden handelsüblichen Rollstuhl montiert werden kann und mit dem es auch möglich ist, sich in geschlossenen Räumen aufzuhalten, und das Liegebike, das ohne Rollstuhl auskommt und für sportliches Fahren, aber nur auf Straßen geeignet ist. Claudia Bärs Konzept verbindet die Vorteile beider Typen und verfügt somit über zwei Sitzmodi, zwischen denen der Benutzer/die Benutzerin eigenständig wechseln kann. Modus 1: ein wendiger Sportrollstuhl für Innenräume und das gemütliche Fahren in der Stadt.
