Das Buch soll Kindern die Vorteile einer vielfältigen Gesellschaft näherbringen und auch für das Thema Migration sensibilisieren. Es soll zum Nachdenken und zum Austausch anregen und als Gegenstück dienen zum aktuellen Trend der Abgrenzung und des „Wir-gegen die-anderen-Denkens“. The children’s book „Arnold und die Anderen“ (Arnold and the others) tells the story of Arnold, an eagle in the Alps, who is forced to leave his home and therefore flies around the world. Through that he gets to know others and himself in a new way and learns: diversity is something everybody can benefit from. The book should show children the advantages of a diverse society and also promote awareness for the topic migration.
