In this paper I am dealing about the following themes: - Jewelry as a phenomenon of society - The meaning of ornaments - Islam - Fonts and Calligraphy - The different types of jewelry on the woman’s body - Jewelry with the function of protection - The „bad sight“ - Symbols - Materials and Techniques A research in the Gold-Souqu of Dubai and a Photo-Strip of the production of jewelry at the company "Damas" are too a distinct part of this paper. Die Arbeit untersucht die Bedeutung hinsichtlich der Formgebung von orientalischem Schmuck. Orientalische Kunst wie auch das gesamte tägliche Leben stehen in engem Kontext mit dem Islam.
