<dc:description xml:lang="de">At Home In A Liminal World researches into the feelings of in-betweenness by exploring ‘liminal’ situations. The concept of liminality is used to describe any in-between state and space. The project focuses on individual experiences during times of transition and a variety of ways in which people react to liminal situations. It revolves around the questions: How do we deal with changes and increasing uncertainties in modern life? What strategies do we develop to ground ourselves in times of change?

The project involves artistic and curatorial approaches in three different actions: a performative act opening space for ‘liminals’ to realise and reflect on their own liminality in an elevator as a liminal setting; in-depth interviews with people who feel in between homes, jobs and cities; and an online exploration into diverse aspects of liminality in an Instagram account, @athomeinaliminalworld, providing ground to share research with readings, artworks and a music playlist.</dc:description>
