Ottinger describes this force also as still love. Even in moments of loneliness or despair it would not desert us. The work consists of a collection of twelve one-sided pages compassing and two double-sided pages compassing wood prints. They are printed with pigments, gouache and Indian ink with a Japanese technique and are bound as a book. Gerlinde Ottinger setzt sich in ihren Holzdrucken mit ihrer persönlichen Beziehung zu einer Kraft auseinander, von der sie findet, dass sie im Stillen wirkt, alles trägt, alles belebt, immer da ist, egal, ob man sie wahrnimmt oder nicht. Ottinger bezeichnet diese Kraft auch als „stille Liebe“. Selbst in Momenten der Einsamkeit oder völliger Verzweiflung verlasse sie uns nicht.
