Anhand einer installativen Doppelstruktur wird gefragt, ob die Welt, in der wir leben werden, von alptraumhafter Fatalität bestimmt ist oder noch die Möglichkeit besteht von einer Realität zu träumen, die wir unseren Nachkommen hinterlassen wollen. Technischer Fortschritt wird genauso in die thematischen und ästhetischen Überlegungen mit einbezogen wie Freiheit und Notwendigkeit vorhandene Strukturen zu hinterfragen.\n\nIm ersten Raum der Ausstellung finden wir Visionen einer dystopischen Realität, welche anhand von sieben Filmszenen in ein raumgreifendes Konzept eingebettet sind. Letztere ergänzen sich sowohl visuell als auch akustisch und erzeugen die Illusion einer Überwachungszentrale, welche auf Jeremy Benthams Panopticon referiert. Im zweiten, gleichermaßen immersiv konzipierten Raum, setzt sich die Künstlerin anhand einer narrativen Videoarbeit, mit Vorstellungen von Zukunft auseinander, in denen Menschen in Frieden miteinander leben wie im Einklang mit der Natur und anderen Spezies."}]},{"@type":"bf:Note","skos:prefLabel":[{"@language":"eng","@value":"The thesis was developed on the basis of fear and hope as feelings that afflict the artist regarding the future of our society. By means of a split spacial concept the ladder is questioned as a fatal nightmare in contrast with the possibility to dream of a reality we want to bequeath to our descendants. Technical innovation is included in topical and aesthetic consideration just as much as the freedom and the necessity to question present structures.\n\nIn the first room we find visions of a dystopian reality included into an extensive space concept via seven film scenes. They complement one another in visual and acoustic ways and generate the illusion of a control center referring to Jeremy Bentham’s Panopticon. In the second room, conceptualized as an equally immersive experience, the artists deals with a reality in which human beings live in peace with one another and consistent with nature as well as other species.
