Jahrhunderts, unter Berücksichtigung sammlungsspezifischer Aspekte - der Sammlung anatomischer Wachsmodelle im Josephinum in Wien (Museum für Geschichte der Medizin). Zunächst wurde eine Schadensanalyse in der Sammlung durchgeführrt und mit dem Pendant \"La Specola\" in Florenz verglichen. Zwei ausgewählte Modelle wurden mit naturwissenschaftlichen Methoden analysiert (Röntgen, UV, Polarisationsmikroskop, REM, FTIR, PY-GC-MS). Dabei wurden unter anderem die Zusammensetzung des Modellierwachses, der Firnis, die Farbmittel sowie Herstellungstechnik und Schadensphänomene untersucht.\nDie Aufgabenstellung für die praktische Restaurierung stellten für Wachsmodelle typische Schäden wie Brüche und fehlende Teile, leichte Verschmutzung und eine fehlende Textildraperie dar. Demgemäss wurden im Rahmen der Diplomarbeit Versuche zu Klebung, Kittung, Schmelzbereich, Löslichkeit und zur Retusche auf Wachs durchgeführt. Condition of the numeros objects in the collection has been checked and was compared to objects at the museum „La Specola“ in Florence. Two selected wax models were scientifically examined (UV, X-ray, polarised-light-microscopy, SEM, FTIR, PY-GC-MS). The composition of the modelling wax, varnish, pigments as well as production techniques and degrading mechanisms were researched. Practical conservation problems consisted of breaks, missing pieces, dirt, missing textile parts and the restoration of one original showcase. Accordingly tests for adhesion, infilling, meltpoint, solubility, and retouching on wax were carried out.
