<dc:description xml:lang="de">The current urban activities in Guadalajara,
Mexico, happen where there are no natural
attractions, forgetting almost completely the
north edges of the city and the great
Huentitan Canyon. The aim of this project is
the activation of the forgotten pieces of the
city trough an extension towards north. The
solution to achieve this is based on the
optimization of existing urban tension points,
the creation of new ones, and the implementation
of activities in-between them.
The city center of Guadalajara and the slums
are the points of departure for the project,
and the driving force is the intervention on
top of the canyon.
The project reaches as well a solution for three
major problems: the activation of the slums,
the use of unused nature and a new proposal of
growth, mobility and inhabitation for the city
with the vision of rescuing the ambulant commerce,
the canyon and the topography.</dc:description>
