Autoimmunität wird darin als Ausdruck transformativer Prozesse verstanden, die vielfältige physische und psychische Auswirkungen haben. Its essence is the proposal of a new thesis concering the understanding of autoimmune diseases, especially of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE, lupus). SLE is a rare autoimmune disease that can affect the skin, the joints, the nervous system and all inner organs of the affected. Its cause and pathogenesis are unknown. The project aims at providing new knowledge concering these open questions. Its thesis is exposed in four different formats showing four different ways of artistic research. It proposes to understand autoimmunity as the expression of transformative processes that cause various physical and mental effects in the afflicted organism.
