University of Applied Arts Vienna stairplay Menschen sollten mehr spielen. Und sie sollten sich dabei mehr bewegen. Das Treppenhaus ist der ideale Ort um Menschen dazu zu motivieren. Insbesondere wenn sich im Gebäude ein Aufzug befindet, benutzen die Bewohner die Treppen nicht all zu häufig. Dabei kann das Treppenhaus ein Ort der Interaktion und ein Indikator für die dort lebende Gemeinschaft sein. Dieses Projekt versucht dieses Gefühl durch ein Spiel zu generieren, welches im Treppenhaus stattfindet. Die Grundregeln dafür sind relativ simpel. Es gibt 3 intelligente Spielfiguren. Diese können im Treppenhaus versteckt werden und von den anderen Mitbewohnern gesucht und gefunden werden. Die Eigenschaften der Figuren geben jeweils schon vor, wie sie zu verstecken sind. Aber dies ist erst der Beginn des Spieles... Die Bewohner sind angehalten das Spiel zu erweitern. Sie sind eingeladen neue Verstecke zu bilden oder neue Spielzyklen zu erfinden. People have to play more. And they have to play more physically. The staircase is the ideal place to motivate people to do this. Especially if you have an elevator in the building, people are not going to use the stairs that often. But it can be a space for social interaction and an indicator and symbol for the community living there. So this project tries to create this sensation via a game which is installed in the staircase.The basic rules are really simple. There are 3 different, intelligent game figures. You have to hide these game items in the staircase and the other residents have to search for them. The features of the figures help you or guide you to do this. But this is just where the game starts... The intention of the game is that the residents starts to expand the game by the time. They are invited to install new hide-outs or to make new game cycles.
