Peter Mitterer Peter Mitterer Patrick Schumacher Patrick Schumacher Die neue Bouwkunde Delft ersetzt die abgebrannte Architekturfakultät der TU Delft und liegt zwischen der historischen Altstadt und dem TU Campus. Das Projekt verwendet anstelle der herkömmlichen binären Erschließungslogik von Universitätsbauten eine differenziertere Netzwerktypologie, folglich werden die öffentlichen Funktionen und die Produktionsbereiche in lineare Stränge und flexible nichtlineare Flächen geteilt. Die Schnittstellen zwischen den Strängen und Geschoßen werden als Hybride aus Erschließungselementen und öffentlichen Funktionen ausgebildet, was zu einer Maximierung möglicher sozialer und kreativer Interaktion führt. The New Bouwkunde Delft replaces the burnt down faculty of architecture and is situated between the historic city center and the TU campus. The project aims at supplanting the traditional binary circulation logic of educational buildings by a more differentiated network logic. Representation spaces and production spaces are accordingly split into linear strings and flexible nonlinear pockets. The intersections of layers and strings become hybrids of circulation elements and public functions, resulting in a maximization of possible social and creative interaction.
