A theoretical discourse expanding in scope and influence, ecocriticism is ultimately focused on the ways in which the relationship between humans and the environment is imagined and portrayed in various cultural processes. This thesis explores ongoing debates of the nature/culture nexus as relating to the art practice of the contemporary painter Walton Ford (b. 1960).
