<dc:description xml:lang="de">Der First World Congress of the Missing Things ist ein public art project, konzipiert von Barbara Holub.

The Congress utilized a particular non-hierarchical spatial setup that eliminated the differentiation between “experts” and “audience”. Citizens were invited to present their issues of missing things, partaking in decision-making as a self-initiated process of political engagement. Through this participation and collaboration people were strengthened in their positions within institutions to focus on revitalization rather than gentrification of the Lexington Market area.</dc:description>
