"Investing in Water is Good Business"
GLAAS 2014

Based on a delta relation between drinking water, the resource and Virtual Water (according to Tony Allan) the work "Desired Water" is dealing with the advancement of a physiological need onto a desire of consumer society. Desire (after J. Lacan) is being explored regarding its impact during a process of metamorphosis from the basic need to a profitable and empowering resource.
The unequal proportion between water as drinking water and Virtual Water is symptomatic for the indicated progression.
The painting transforms the original absence of Virtual Water into a condition of presence.
The show "Desired Water" is supposed to trigger higher consciousness concerning individual contact with water.</dc:description>

"Investing in Water is Good Business"
GLAAS 2014
