Lacan) wird hinsichtlich seiner Bedeutung im Entwicklungsprozess von Wasser als Grundbedürfnis zu Wasser als profitabler und machtbringender Ressource für die Elite betrachtet. \nDas ungleiche Verhältnis von Wasser als Trinkwasser zu virtuellem Wasser ist symptomatisch für diese Progression.\nDie eigentliche Abwesenheit des virtuellen Wassers wird in der Arbeit durch das Medium der Malerei in eine Anwesenheit umgekehrt.
