<lom:langstring xml:lang="de">Der Elefantenstuhl wurde 1554 aus den Knochen
des ersten Wiener Elefanten gefertigt. Als
Kuriosum und repräsentatives Möbelstück ist der
Elefantenstuhl heute vielbewunderter Teil der
Kunst- und Wunderkammer im Stift Kremsmünster.
Durch sekundäre Eingriffe, Klimaschwankungen
und Transporte weist das Kunstwerk zahlreiche
Schadensbilder auf. Problematisch ist der
zweifache Bruch eines Knochens. Im Rahmen der
Diplomarbeit wird als Schwerpunkt eine Testreihe
zur Klebung von Knochen durchgeführt. Die
Ermittlung eines geeigneten Klebstoffes erfolgt
durch Prüfkörper, die einem definierten Klimazyklus
ausgesetzt und anschließend auf ihre
Biegezugfestigkeit getestet werden. Neben der
Klebung erfolgen Stabilisierungsmaßnahmen an
der Montage. Konservatorische Vorgaben für die
künftige Präsentation und den Leihverkehr des
Elefantenstuhls sollen das Objekt vor
erneuten Schäden bewahren.</lom:langstring>
