</ns1:description>
<ns1:description language="en">Based on the discussion on art as an innovative process two artistic positions will be considered with a focus on their collective habits. The collection (and accumulation) as an immanent component of the artistic production links the artwork to the creative process including the artist. Collecting, searching and finding has become a popular and often applied method in Europe since the early 20th century. The transformation of the artistic positioning and production due to collection practices shall be discussed by the collections of Jean Dubuffet and Dieter Roth.</ns1:description>
