Sie wird auf den Zeitraum zwischen dem 17. und 18. Jahrhundert datiert und folgt dem Stil der italo-kretischen Schule. Neben der historischen und stilistischen Einordnung wird die theologische Bedeutung der Ikone für die Orthodoxie behandelt. Überdies wird anhand naturwissenschaftlicher Untersuchungen die Maltechnik des Objekts mit weiteren griechischen Ikonen verglichen sowie die vorliegenden Schadensphänomene analysiert. Im Fokus der Arbeit liegt die Entwicklung und Durchführung eines Konzepts, welches die Authentizität des Objekts in seinem historischen Wert berücksichtigt und gleichzeitig das Gesamterscheinungsbild im Sinne des ästhetisch-funktionalen Anspruchs der Ikone als materiellen Bestandteil einer lebendigen Glaubenspraxis gewährleistet."}]},{"@type":"bf:Note","skos:prefLabel":[{"@language":"eng","@value":"The icon examined in this study comes from the collection of a Viennese icon dealer and depicts the Christian motif of the Anastasis. The icon is dated to the period between the 17th and 18th century and follows the style of the Italo-Cretan school. In addition to the historical and stylistic classification, the theological significance of the icon in Orthodoxy is being discussed. Furthermore, the painting technique of the object is compared to other Greek icons based on scientific investigations and the existing damage phenomena that led to the current condition of the object are analysed.
