Ausgehend von einem kulturgeschichtlichen Überblick über die Entstehung von Zeitkonzeptionen und Zeitmessgeräten werden soziologische Analysen über Beschleunigung (H. Rosa), Zeitknappheit erzeugende Bedingungen für den Statuserhalt im Zeitalter der Digitalisierung (S. Mau/A. Reckwitz), sowie Überlegungen dazu, was es für uns bedeutet, wenn man das Leben als letzte Gelegenheit begreift (M. Gronemeyer) miteinander in Beziehung gesetzt.</lom:langstring>
