<lom:description>

<lom:description>

<lom:langstring xml:lang="en">After all, this is just another beginning is a conceptually experimental written work that examines beginnings not as fixed starting points, but as generative and relational processes. The thesis deliberately consists only of introductions. This formal choice reflects its central claim: that beginnings are not merely preliminary, but active sites of thinking, orientation, and meaning-making. By focusing on introductions alone, the work resists closure and instead stages beginning as an ongoing practice.
The guiding research question is: What happens when we think-through beginnings? This question is explored through multiple disciplinary and thematic entry points. One introduction engages creation myths as symbolic narratives of origin and considers their relevance for artistic practice and creative processes. Another draws on Hannah Arendt’s concept of natality to examine beginnings in relation to action, freedom, and political responsibility. A further introduction addresses debates on the beginning of human life in relation to abortion, reflecting contemporary biomedical and socio-political discourse.
Rather than forming a linear argument, the introductions function as parallel openings. They are conceptually connected yet non-hierarchical, inviting readers to move between them and reflect on how different modes of beginning shape what can be thought and enacted.
The work’s relevance lies in its engagement with a present characterized by the rise of far-right forces, ecological crisis, and epistemic uncertainty. By framing beginnings as plural, situated, and unfinished, the project proposes thinking-through beginnings as a critical and creative practice—particularly significant for artistic research and contemporary questions of agency and social change.</lom:langstring>
