Description (de)
the orange tape is an eight-minute 16-mm-film, which was shot in autumn 2019 in Venice. The filming took place at different locations and at different times of a day. The camera was ope- rated manually, following an instinctive and playful approach – the camera seems to dance, as if in search for something, trying to capture images to write a poem with them. The precise Bolex camera serves as the tool to inscribe traces of the space into the filmstrip. The cutting takes place internally. Conny Frischauf transferred the properties of the film into sound- scapes. The film expresses a desire for a spatial quality, a tribute to orange light, a gesture to the atmosphere of the city – a cinematic poem.
