Quelle: marx-forum.de/marx-lexikon/lexikon_a/arbeit.html Der Wandel vom stetig ortsgebundenen Arbeitsplatz bei ein und dem selben Arbeitgeber gehört längst der Vergangenheit an. Durch die rasante technische Entwicklung der "Bürowerkzeuge" einerseits, seit Beginn der Industrialisierung im 20. Jahrhundert, als auch die daraus entstehenden Umwälzungen in der Gesellschaft, ist der Mensch einer steten voranschreitenden Veränderung unterworfen. Einer Veränderung allgemein tritt man mit Anpassung oder Ablehnung entgegen. Anpassung in der heutigen Zeit ist aber nicht mehr ganz so leicht. Die Werkzeuge von heute unterscheiden sich merklich von denen von damals. Die robusten, schweren, kaum kaputt zu kriegenden Dinge sind den HighTec Sachen im Hinblick auf Material und Technologie gewichen. Die Schreibmaschine hat dem Computer Platz gemacht. Der Computer überlässt weiters immer mehr seinem mobilen Pandant, dem Laptop oder Notebook, das Feld. Wer heute mithalten will, muss, wie es in den meisten Stellenazeigen lesbar ist, dynamisch, flexibel und belastbar sein. Flexibilität in der Arbeitswelt geht jedoch nicht Hand in Hand mit einem statischen Arbeitsplatz, einem Stand PC und einem Festnetztelefon. Flexibilität bedeutet auch Mobilität. Mobilität bedeutet Bewegung, Dynamik. Durch Internet, Mobiltelefon und Videokonferenz ist es möglich geworden auch aus der Ferne anstelle vor Ort zu arbeiten. Dieser rasenden Entwicklung zum Trotz geht die heutige traditionelle Büroausstattung oft nicht über den fix installierten, statischen Schreibtisch hinaus. Nach wie vor denkt man im Büro vermehrt in Boxen. Meine Diplomarbeit möchte daher auf die bereits stattfindenden kulturellen und gesellschaftlichen Veränderung des Arbeitsplatzes aus heutiger, moderner Sicht, eingehen. Auf die durch den Menschen selbst veränderte eigene Natur (siehe Zitat K. Marx). Sie soll den Schulterschluss bilden zwischen traditionellem Büro, und der sich abzeichnenden, richtungsweisenden Veränderungen der Arbeitsbedingungen in der modernen Gesellschaft.

Because of the rapid development of the “office tools” technology on one hand, since the beginning of industrialisation in the 20th century, as well as the arising of social changes through that, man is subjected to a steady progressing change. A change in general you face with adaptation or refusal. Adaptation in today's times but is not that easy any more. The tools of today differ noticeable from the tools in those days. The sturdy, heavy, almost not destroyable things gave way for the High Tech things considering material and technology. The typewriter made way for the computer. Further the computer more and more is replaced by its portable pendant, the laptop, notebook respectively Tablet PC. Who wants to keep up with, has to be, how it is readable frequently in many job advertisements, dynamic, flexible and stress tolerant. Flexibility in the labour world does not go hand in hand with a static work space, a fix PC and fix telephone. Flexibility is also mobility. Mobility means motion, movement. By means of Internet, mobile phone and video conference it became possible to work from the distance instead on-site. Despite this rapid development today's office equipment does not go beyond the fixed, static desk. Mostly there is still some kind of “box thinking” My dissertation therefore wants to go into detail of the cultural and social changes already taking place in today's, modern way of view, at the changed own nature through man himself (see qoute of K. Marx). It shall define the connection between traditional office and the happening and pointing the way changes of the working conditions in our modern society.
