Eine Analyse des Einsatzes von Technologien zur Verknüpfung von digitaler und analoger Welt anhand zweier Kooperationen zwischen kulturellen Organisationen und der Wikipedia.

Die physische Realität kann heute technologisch mit der Welt der digitalen Daten verknüpft werden. Anhand von zwei Projekten, bei denen es sich um Kooperationen zwischen mit Wikipedia verknüpften Plattformen und kulturellen Organisationen handelt, wird untersucht, ob die verwendeten Technologien tatsächlich als nutzbringende Werkzeuge eingesetzt werden oder Selbstzweck in dem Sinne sind, dass eine Technik verwendet wird, um eine Problemstellung zu lösen, die ohne diese nicht da gewesen wäre, beziehungsweise der mögliche Nutzen in Relation zum verursachten Arbeitsaufwand gering ist. Betrachtet werden auch die Auswirkungen der Projekte abseits der direkten Ziele und ursprünglichen Intentionen. Schwerpunkt wird dabei auf die These gelegt, dass die Projekte neben dem intendierten einen langfristigen oder sogar breiteren Nutzen für die beteiligten Kooperationspartner und auch für ursprünglich nicht beteiligte Dritte haben.

Technologies can nowadays link the physical reality with the world of digital data. By reference to two projects between platforms connected to Wikipedia and cultural organizations it will be examined if the used technologies are used as productive tools or as self purpose in the sense that the technology is used to solve a problem that wouldn't be there without the tools or rather the possible benefit in relation to the caused amount of work only has a marginal benefit. The impact of the projects apart from the firsthand objectives and primary intentions will be considered. A focus will be the thesis that the projects have beside the intended a long term or even wider benefit for the involved cooperation partners and even for primary not involved third parties.
