Ectopic Bodies

ECTOPIC BODIES wurde als Reflexion eines transhumanistischen Blickwinkels über die Relevanz des Körpers des Homo Sapiens konzipiert. Es veranschaulicht das Konzept der Obsoleszens durch die Darstellung eines spekulativen, dystopischen Szenarios. Der Körper, das Transportgefäß unserer menschlichen Essence, wird als reines Produkt behandelt- und ein Status der Transzendenz zu einer Posthumanen Form konturiert. Diese Installation zielt darauf ab, den Körper als potenziell überflüssiges Gebrauchsgut zu präsentieren und auf die Politik und Bio-Politik des Transhumanistischen Gedanken hinzudeuten.

Ectopic Bodies was born as a reflection on transhumanist ideas about the relevance of the homo sapiens body. It deals with the concept of obsolescence through the portrayal of a speculative dystopian scenario. The body, a carcass that contains our human essence is treated as a mere product, envisioning a transition to a posthuman state of transcendence. This installation aims to present the body as a potentially obsolete commodity and serve as a reflection about the politics – and biopolitics – of Transhumanism.
