In der ganzen Welt zählen Häfen, Zugverbindungen und Straßeninfrastruktur zu den großen Katalysatoren von urbanen Struturen zwischen dem 18. und 20. Jahrhundert. Sie alle wurzeln in zivilisationsbedingten Innovationen von Transport und Infrastruktur. Heute markieren Flughäfen den nächsten Schritt urbaner Evolution. Sie erschaffen durch ihre Präsenz gleichzeitig eine Umgebung beständiger sowie unbeständiger Muster. Weil Flughäfen stetig wachsen und durch ihr Dasein Gewerbe anziehen, besteht das Bedürfnis einer Lösung eines Fluhafen-orientierten Städtebaus, welcher zeitgleich ein Milieu für dessen Transportinfrastruktur und die Anbindung an die Runways darstellt und gleichzeitig Strukturen für Eizelbenutzer anbietet. Die Diplomarbeit schlägt drei Ableitungen vor, welche in eine Endlösung zusammenfließen soll: Erstens die gesamtheitliche typologische Einteilung welche aus der Inversion der Therie des Aerotropolis entspringt. Zweitens eine formale Studie vernetzter Räumen von Prozess und Stillstand und drittens die Zwangsbedingungen der Höhenverteilung um einen Runway herum. Die formalen Studien der Räume, welche auf den Flughafensequenzen sowie der multiplen Nutzung (diret, indirekt, Schlaufe) basieren, ergeben Genotypen, welche ja nach typologischer Verteilung eingesetzt werden können. Zusammen mit den Höhenregulierungen entsteht so ein einheitliches Netz von Gebäuden und städtischem Gefüge, welche sowohl gleichzeitig der übergeordneten Infrastruktur dienen, wie auch dem einzelnen Benutzer zugute kommen.

Seaports, railways and highways have in the past been major catalysators for urban settlements all over the world from the 18th to the 20th century. They all root in man-made innovations of transportation and infrastructure. Today airports mark the next step of urbanistic evolution. They create busy environments of both fast and steady patterns. Since airports are growing and attracting businesses, there is the need of a solution for an airport orientated urbanism that creates both a coherent environment for the infrastructure of transfortation and the connectivity with the runway supply, but also creates adjacencies of single-user orientated structures. The thesis proposes three derivations that merge into one: First the overall typological allocation which derives from the inversion of the aerotropolis theory. The second one being a formal study of meshed spaces of process and holding patterns and the third one being technical airport constraints such as height restriction envelopes around a runway. Formal studies of spaces that are meshing around the airport constraints of Stop and Go together with the multi-usability of direct, indirect and looped paths showcases geotypes of built spaces that can be used according to the logic of the typological diagram found at the beginning of the research. Mapped together with the height regulation constraint, the proposal wraps itself up into a unified mesh of buldings that serves both the infrastructure as well as the single user and evolves into urbanism.
