Title (deu)
MALUMER SS2S
Author
Luna-Mae Olivia von Heflin
Description (deu)
The MALUMER SS25 SHOW is a performance-installation created by artist Luna Mae Heflin in collaboration with artist Julius Pristauz. The exhibited objects are at once wearable clothing, painting, and sculpture. While any form of expertise and classical tailoring were intentionally ignored in the development phase, the result and the presentation, including corporate identity, resembled a strategically planned and fully streamlined brand runway show. The project is a comment not only on consumer society and self-staging but also on the ambiguity of subjective decisions regarding the conception and marketing of trends, aesthetics, and beauty. Here the line between a commercially exploited and functional commodity and artistic production is blurred. In times of growing interdisciplinarity MALUMER SS25 asks if a divide between the two at times still even exists…
