Description (en)
Description (en)
This thesis explores the practice of performing arts through a comprehensive examination of the elements of time, narrative construction, and musical accompaniment in order to create a scenography. Central to this exploration is the scenographic expression developed, which draws inspiration from the narrative “Shopping for a Blue Whale” and a musical composition by Adele Thomas. The narrative intertwines personal experiences with scientific inquiry, particularly focusing on the concept of time from a physics perspective, shaping both the scenography and the accompanying music.
Challenging conventional roles within scenic artistry, especially prevalent in Latin America, this study advocates for a broader understanding of the craft beyond traditional definitions. Emphasizing the role of scenography as a facilitator of storytelling rather than mere installation, the thesis underscores its significance in guiding the audience through a narrative journey.
Ultimately, this work serves as a documentation of the author ́s journey and provides valuable insights for practitioners interested in exploring the intersection of art and science within the realm of performing arts.
