Diese Bachelorarbeit untersucht den Aufbau von Kommunikation und Beziehung zwischen Mensch und nicht-humanoider Robotik auf nonverbaler Ebene. Ausgangspunkt ist die Arbeit "Contact" von Emanuel Gollob und Magdalena May, ein interaktiver Industrieroboterarm. Im Fokus steht die Frage, wie technische Objekte soziale Präsenz erzeugen und welche Designentscheidungen – etwa Bewegung, Sound oder Interaktivität – unsere Wahrnehmung und emotionale Reaktion prägen. Die Forschung wird mit Basistheorien der HRI (Casa, Media Equation, Uncanny Valley) verknüpft und anhand praktischer Projekte erläutert.

This thesis examines the development of communication and relationships between humans and non-humanoid robots on a nonverbal level. Its starting point is the work "Contact" by Emanuel Gollob and Magdalena May, an interactive industrial robot arm. The focus is the question of how technical objects create social presence and which design decisions—such as movement, sound, or interactivity—shape our perception and emotional response. The research is linked to basic theories of human-robot interaction (Casa, Media Equation, Uncanny Valley) and illustrated with practical projects.
